Although fish and invertebrates remain the most commonly sampled fauna in waterways, there are many other animals that require monitoring, depending on local, state and national protection measures. Aquatic ecology services can provide monitoring programs using methods that are direct (trapping and tagging) and indirect (remote cameras and habitat assessment). Fauna that we can survey for include:
- Platypus
- Turtles
- Rakali (water rats)
- Reptiles (water monitors and crocodiles)
